Responsibilities (First 90 Days).
- Own a defined territory in the Houston market and drive clinic-based growth (Very small territory to learn products)
- Build relationships with ophthalmology practices (physician + key office stakeholders)
- Execute call cadence, account planning, and territory prioritization
- Track activity and results; communicate pipeline progress and wins
Responsibilities (Regional Sales Manager Phase)
- Lead and coach ~6–8 field reps across Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma
- Drive consistent execution, accountability, and performance improvement
- Support key accounts, ride-alongs, training, and adoption strategies
- Deliver regional growth and reporting to leadership
Required Profile
- 3 + years Pharmaceutical sales experience preferred, ideally in ophthalmology / eye care
- Demonstrated success selling into physician offices/clinics
- Leadership readiness: mentoring, informal leadership, or people management experience
- Strong organization, communication, and consistency in field execution
- Houston-based (or immediate Houston metro)
- Up to 50% overnight travel
Compensation
- Base: approximately $125k depending on experience
- Quarterly performance bonus: ~$4k–$5k
- Quarterly team override once managing: ~$2.5k (in addition to territory bonus)
- Car allowance: $950/month + gas; corporate card for T&E
